and the Bruck, the
slate-rich soil which offers excellent conditions for growing great Veltliner
and Riesling. While the two main Wachaugrape varieties also play a leading role
in Thomas Gritsch’s repertoire, he is particularly interested in the production
of elegant and lively wines. He only harvests first-class materials,
predominantly in the Federspiel category.
Neuburger and Muskateller
feature in Thomas Gritsch’s range, too, and are particularly popular with the
Heurigen guests and as accompaniments to various culinary specialities. The
Heurigen offers space for 120 guests in the dining room, but it is even greater
to visit it in the summer, when guests can enjoy Veltiner, Riesling, and a
sparkling Zweigelt rosé in the garden and the arbour whilst enjoying beautiful
views of the Setzberg.
