Description

The name Wandl refers to an area between the Superin and Oberhauser vineyards. The name itself probably arose from a clerical or comprehension error when recording the Franziscean Cadastre. The original name is "Sandl", which can be followed back to the year 1377 and of itself provides information on the vineyard characteristics.
